Martinez, Betty

Introduction

1
Hi, my name is Betty W. Martinez. I have been teaching in the public school system since the 1985-86 school year. Prior to that, I taught for two years in a private church school. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade self-contained classes (all subjects, including a Recorder Class), middle school computer literacy along with 6th and 7th grade mathematics. I have taught all levels of students from resource to gifted and limited English proficient.

I hold current certifications in Mathematics (Grades 4-8), Technology Applications
(Grades EC-12) and Business Education (6-12) along with my lifetime certifications of Elementary Mathematics (Grades 1-8) and Elementary Self-Contained (Grades 1-8).

This year I will be
teaching Technology Applications at the 6th grade level, 7th grade STEM (Technology Focus) and Principles of Arts, Audio Video Technology and Communications (for high school credit) at the 8th grade level.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year. I am located in room 326. The 100 and 300 halls form a giant 'U' with the nurse's office, counselors' offices and main office in the middle. The 500 hall is the only one story building with classrooms. The 200, 400 and 800 halls are upstairs (there is no 600 hall).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at: 887-3060 ext: 6326. My email address is bwmartin@episd.org. My conference period is from 11:45-12:30.

I have been married to the same, wonderful man since 1976 and have two sons. My husband and both sons are Assistant Pastors. My sons married two beautiful, godly women that I love dearly. I have three grandsons, three granddaughters and one dog.
